We get a lot of questions about which autoresponders a small business should use. So we decided to do a
little series with the various autoresponder services so that you can make the best choice for your online e-commerce or affiliate business. We also have included below a trick to create an awesome newsletter in a video below.
The Cadillac™ of Autoresponders is Aweber and luckily it doesn’t have the Cadillac™ price tag. Also, another great thing from a developer’s side about AWeber is that it is already built to integrate with so many other blog products and platforms out there you won’t have to code anything to use it. For example, if you have a blog with the WordPress or Typepad the Aweber autoresponder system already integrates with these so it is pretty much plug and play.
A referral is a perfect lead. Not only does it come with an endorsement from a
happy customer, referrals are generally educated and ready to close. Despite the obvious advantages of referrals, most small businesses don’t get as many referrals as they’d like. Why?
Because they don’t ask! Chances are, you’re not asking for referrals either (and you’re missing out a lot of potential sales). If you want to create a steady of stream of qualified customers, get a referral system in place.
Be careful what you wish for because you just might get it…especially in a small business. If your wish is to sell more, your success
could prevent future growth and the reason is simple. Every sale creates a new customer, which in turn creates greater demands on your time. You need to deliver products AND get paid for it, which involves back-office and small business CRM work that can distract you from future growth.
“We needed CRM for salespeople across locations. What I didn’t expect was powerful marketing automation that has helped me increase sales conversions.”
-Richard Hite, The Barber School
When it comes to hitting revenue goals, every sale counts. That’s why it’s so painful when a potential deal slips through the cracks. The more leads you have, the worse the problem becomes. But why?
This is the fourth installment on our Small Business CRM and Email Marketing Solution Series. If you would like to start at the beginning with the, “How to create the best
email campaigns“. If you missed the second part then check this out first, “E-Mail Marketing Tip #1: Consolidate your systems“. If you missed part 3 check this out, “E-mail Marketing Tip #2: Capture Leads Online“.
“Our small business CRM gives us the ability to nurture contacts in a way we just couldn’t before. It has doubled my lead conversion.” -Richard Hite, The Barber School
The not-so-secret weakness of many small businesses is that they don’t nurture leads as well as they should. In general, it takes seven touches before a lead is ready to buy, but most businesses give up after one or two attempts. That adds up to a lot of missed opportunities!
