Even if your content does not change daily, take advantage of sites like Twitter, which allow you to post snippets of information to draw the customer in. Search engines browse Twitter for relevant information about websites and then use that to influence your rankings. Make sure to post at least daily, for both the search engines and for your customer’s benefit.

Starting a blog about your website and participating in other related blog can be an effective SEO technique. Blogs are easy to rank as search engine algorithms like new content and highly-structured data. Commenting on related blogs can increase your own website’s exposure and increase the number of backlinks your site has. Backlinks are very important for ranking highly in search engines.

By careful and attentive tweaking of website content and page tags, webmasters can greatly boost their websites’ position on search engine results pages. It is important that they earn these favored positions, though. A site that is tweaked into high standing on the results pages will get a lot of traffic – but it will not keep any of it if its content is sub-par.

To optimize your place on search engine results, include a myriad of keywords, including misspellings of keywords, in the “metatag” area of your website setup. Search engines will “read” these metatags and help you appear in a wider variety of searches. For example, if your site is about eyeglasses, include in your metatag both “glasses” and “glases,” “eyeglasses” and “eye glasses,” etc.

What’s so important here is to make sure that your navigation menu links or buttons use your primary keyword phrases for the pages they link to. But there’s also a few more things you can do to really get some more optimization juice out of your navigation menu.
